He sees a bunch of snakes, but notices that they are all adults -- no baby snakes.<br /><br />So he asks one of the snakes, "Where are all of the baby snakes?"<br /><br />The snake says sadly, "we're adders, and so we cannot multiply!"<br /><br />The next year the man returns to the park and notes that there are now smaller snakes.
