Employment and Productivity


Employment relative to Productivity

When it's going up, employment is growing faster than productivity. When it's going down, employment is growing slower than productivity.

  1. This graph answers the question "How were the good years of the 1990s different from the good years of the 1960s?"

    Both appear as turning points on the graph. But they are facing different directions.
