I does left a comment in that string. Beckworth's problem is he is married to monetary solutions, that in the liquidity trap simply do not work.
His attempts to force-fit success onto current events is what leads him to look at short-term wiggles and think they tell the story.
His lame finesse around default is telling.
The joke you linked is quite good, though.
