Challenging the Premisses
Start with the debt problem, three views of it,
and the most important thing. Here's a longer look at the debt problem.
Here's a short one on economic policy, some surprising trends, and a few unusual policy recommendations. How'd we get into this mess? Read Policy Venn and Policies of the Venn Overlap. Still with me? Read A Matter of Life and Death. And for an overview, download my 12-page PDF |

Two bulges: one in the 1990s, and one that started around 2009.
The second half of the 1990s bulge was the time of the "macroeconomic miracle".
The second half of the current bulge is just ready to begin.
Once again, I predict vigor.
Comparing the size of the two bulges, the vigor this time could be stronger and last longer than the vigor of the 1990s.
We shall see.
Oh, and I'm gonna say: No recession anytime soon. Recession comes when the bulge closes.
